The unique aviary - home to over 500 vibrant bird species
A gathering place for over 500 ornamental bird species
Stepping into this bird sanctuary, visitors are instantly mesmerized by the dazzling beauty and lively sounds of hundreds of ornamental birds. The aviary is currently home to nearly 500 birds of various species from common breeds to rare and exotic ones.
What makes the aviary particularly special is its rich biodiversity. Proud peacocks display their plumage under the sunlight, red-crowned cranes glide gracefully through the air, and playful monkeys frolic among the trees - all together creating a vibrant and nature-filled experience.
Ornamental creature expert Do Sinh commented:
"Dung Tan is truly a commercial and eco-tourism aviary center. It’s a harmonious space where plants, rocks, fish, and birds come together. The aviary features plant species from various regions across Vietnam, including Japanese pine trees. Additionally, Dung Tan offers a variety of local specialties such as gemstones, feng shui stones, and stone-based jewelry."

Beyond being a showcase, the aviary is meticulously cared for with specialized breeding and training routines. Some birds are trained to fly freely at designated hours each day, offering visitors a rare and artistic spectacle.
Walking through the aviary, guests may encounter species like the seven-colored pheasant, whose brilliant plumage draws everyone's gaze. Often referred to as a “mini peacock,” this bird dazzles with its noble appearance and rainbow hues.
The aviary is also home to mischievous talking starlings, shimmering lophophore pheasants, and countless other small birds. Each species has its own unique personality — from bold and clever to friendly and curious. According to the caretakers, raising and training these birds requires not only technique but also patience and genuine affection for each individual creature.
Many visitors don’t just admire the birds from afar, they can interact directly, feed them, and learn about their habits and characteristics. Moments of birds playfully competing for food or circling their keepers bring laughter and delight to guests of all ages.
A harmonious space where nature and humanity meet
More than just a bird sanctuary, the aviary at Dung Tan Center offers an open, nature-immersive environment where people and wildlife coexist in tranquil harmony.
From the moment they enter, visitors are embraced by the fresh, rejuvenating ambiance. The space is thoughtfully designed, combining lush greenery, serene ponds, expansive lawns, and carefully curated bird habitats, forming a vivid, living landscape.
This setting naturally fosters a love for nature in the hearts of all who visit. Both children and adults can experience close encounters with birds — feeding them by hand, observing their behavior, and watching them interact. These hands-on experiences help deepen understanding and appreciation for biodiversity, as well as the importance of wildlife conservation.
As such, the aviary is more than a tourist attraction, it’s a place of emotional connection, where people can find peace, reconnect with nature, and nourish the soul amidst the fast pace of modern life.
