Over 1,000 master bonsai trees gather in Quang Ngai, dazzling plant enthusiasts
Recently, the Quang Ngai Provincial Ornamental Creatures Association officially launched the 2025 Expanded Exhibition – Competition – Fair for Ornamental Creatures. From its very first days, the event has drawn in thousands of artisans, locals, and tourists.
The fair features over 70 booths from 28 garden houses representing 11 provinces and cities, showcasing more than 1,000 ornamental plant works and cultural heritage products. The organizing committee will select and honor 50 large and oversized ornamental tree masterpieces, symbolizing the 50th anniversary of Quang Ngai Province's Liberation Day, creating a unique highlight for this year’s exhibition. In addition to the bonsai competition, the event also includes competitions for ornamental stones, songbirds, and orchids.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Minh Giu – Chairman of the Quang Ngai Ornamental Creatures Association – shared that this year's event is the largest of its kind ever held in the province, featuring many impressive artistic works. The program is expected to contribute to the development of the ornamental creature sector, aiming to establish it as a high-value ecological economy.
Within the exhibition space, over 1,000 bonsai and ornamental plant works from 12 provinces and cities have been brought to Quang Ngai by skilled artisans for display.
A special highlight of this year’s event is the selection and honoring of 50 outstanding large and oversized bonsai works, symbolizing 50 years of Quang Ngai’s liberation. Many of these bonsai trees are artistically sophisticated and have captured the attention of visitors.

In his remarks, Mr. Huynh Minh Giu emphasized that this exhibition and fair is the largest-scale ornamental creature event ever held in Quang Ngai, gathering a wide variety of exceptional artistic pieces.
Through this event, the organizing committee hopes to foster the rapid development of the ornamental creature movement and build it into a sustainable and valuable ecological economic sector.

At the exhibition, over 1,000 ornamental and bonsai works from artisans across 12 provinces and cities were presented in Quang Ngai.
Notably, the organizing committee will select and honor 50 exemplary works in the large and oversized category as a symbolic gesture for the 50th anniversary of the province’s liberation - a standout feature that sets this exhibition apart.

The event is organized to highlight the local potential and strengths, promote the branding of high-value specialty products, traditional craft villages, and cultural-tourism activities of the province. It is also an opportunity to attract investment in agriculture, especially in the ornamental plant sector - a field with considerable growth potential.
